@benshomebrew I find that if I don’t explain things fully, I get tuns of questions about details and end up having to make more videos anyway.

clintdavistv August 25, 2010 at 12:29 pm

Dude Craig thanks 2 you I am enjoying my very first batch of beer! I need a little work on flavor, but man this brew hits like a Kick Drum
Peace!

benshomebrew August 25, 2010 at 12:50 pm

Three videos to explain how to brew beer . . . . it’s not that long winded, my friend. You really only need one to get to the gist of it. Far too much talking and not enough brewing.

@CraigTube Can i make from rice? How?

orjysean August 25, 2010 at 1:13 pm

@bassem3394 pour vodka in it.

IrishJimmyB August 25, 2010 at 1:19 pm

@bassem3394 you throw it away and go buy regular beer

RevolutionaryBrewer August 25, 2010 at 2:36 pm

@bassem3394 – Pour a little bit of vodka into it – enjoy

bassem3394 August 25, 2010 at 3:02 pm

@SuperSean32 I thought about it but I am worried, when bottling after a while the bottles might explode

SuperSean32 August 25, 2010 at 3:36 pm

@bassem3394 Simply add sugar and yeast to it! The yeast from the sugar over time will turn into alcohol, just like in the wine making process. I only think this will work from my personal experiance from making wine at home, but ask someone if this would be the correct way to do it with beer, they should know the awnser!

joeadamsmusic August 25, 2010 at 4:17 pm

You are the man! Thank you so much for your easy videos!

TheAngelAbandoned August 25, 2010 at 4:24 pm

@bassem3394 Empty the bottles and fill it with real beer

MrPatriotOne August 25, 2010 at 4:28 pm

Heat the extract can up in some hot water to loosen it up, it will easily pour.

Wishchrono August 25, 2010 at 4:41 pm

@bassem3394 Maybe I can answer this one… There’s something called a “rebeerer” that’s like an essence for beer, you mix it with booze and pour an amount of it into the non-alcohol or low abv beverage. I personally haven’t tried it, and I can’t imagine it’s that good. Besides, I’m not sure if it’s just a Swedish product, but look if you can finding something like that online or local homebrew supply.

CraigTube August 25, 2010 at 4:57 pm

@bassem3394 I doubt you can.

bassem3394 August 25, 2010 at 5:44 pm

hi Craig. i have non-alcoholic beer how do i turn it into regular alcoholic beer ?
thanks

CraigTube August 25, 2010 at 6:30 pm

@gajdijaa That is correct. You can use 2 cans and 2 cups of sugar. You can also cut the batch down to 4.5 gals. (that’s imperial gals – about 19 litres) That will give a slightly richer beer with a bit more alc.

CraigTube August 25, 2010 at 7:00 pm

@gajdijaa You don’t have to replace it. Just use 1kg of corn sugar.

gajdijaa August 25, 2010 at 7:01 pm

hi Craig, if i don’t use the adjunct, do i have to replace with more sugar? or is just a can of malt extract, 1kg of dextrose/brewing sugar and 1 gallon of water so as to make 5 gallons of beer?

gajdijaa August 25, 2010 at 7:18 pm

hi Craig

if you do not use the adjunct, do you have to replace it with anything else? or is it just malt extract, brewing sugar and water?

CondemnedPatriot August 25, 2010 at 7:24 pm

@dgdbg hes right. Judging from your accent im guessing your in canada so i don’t know what is in your tap water, but here in the U.S. We have fun stuff like Chlorine, Sodium Fluoride (rat poison), lead, and several other carcinogens and pathogens.
Spend the 1.50$ for distilled water.

CraigTube August 25, 2010 at 7:42 pm

@joshuacomstock1 Haven’t tried that. Sounds like a good experiment.

joshuacomstock1 August 25, 2010 at 7:56 pm

Hi Craig
Have you ever used pumpkin from a can to flavor your beer

dgdbg August 25, 2010 at 8:41 pm

OMG use good spring or mineral water! Water plays a great part in flavour.

CraigTube August 25, 2010 at 9:07 pm

@LeftyKev1 If you use the tap at the bottom of your fermenter, you won’t get much sediment. What little you do will just fall to the bottom of your bottles. If you don’t have a tap, use an auto syphon. It sits just above the bottom of your pail.
